La Perifericais a cultural association based at the outskirts of Naples, created in 2005 to support the young artists active locally, through the organisation of events, expositions, debates and international mobility projects.
The association aims to improve the cultural and creative heritage at the northern area of Naples, encouraging the new up-and-coming tendencies, creating networks of young artists, providing more information about EU opportunities and supplying more services for music, arts and entertainment events. Through the organisation of permanent and
temporary initiatives, the association has managed to involve a big group of local artists, to make networks of active citizenship and to raise the awareness about local cultural needs. La Periferica is an active member of the Green Environmental Committee.

La Periferica’s next challenges will involve
the following actions:
♦ Fostering national and international mobility for local artists
♦ Providing more opportunities of education and promotion for young people aiming to work in music, arts and
entertainment
♦ Improving number and quality of local events for youth and culture
♦ Supporting new EU projects and more opportunities to travel, study and perform abroad.
